What if my child hates writing?
Writing in a group setting can motivate students who might be stuck and need positive peer pressure. The class is more than just writing; it teaches critical thinking skills and literature analysis.
Will this class help my child’s ACT score?
If your child puts in the work, it will help their ACT scores. Research proves that the more students read, the better they perform on tests. In addition to writing, the class will read classic literature.
What if my child needs the basics?
The class teaches students the basics. Some students come having had IEW, but it is not necessary. Whether your child writes their own stories or rather do anything other than write – this class can teach all levels.
How many essays do you write per year?
The class starts slow with a rudimentary essay and adds elements to each essay as the students master the skills. I use the Lost Tools of Writing curriculum, and we go slowly. Students will write six essays a year.
What if my student misses a class?
All classes are recorded, and your student can easily catch up when convenient.
